Eden's PT Evaluation
Posted by tom | Jun 2, 2005We took Eden for a Physical Therapy (PT) evaluation yesterday at Children's Hospital. This is concerning her neck and preference to turn her head to the right. She's been like this since birth, possibly b/c the muscle on that side of her neck is shorter. The evaluation went well and Eden cooperated nicely. The PT showed us some things including how to encourage Eden to turn her head to the left. We're to work with her for about 5 min. 5 times a day. Theresa was working with Eden tonight and she was doing so well we kept at it for half an hour!
Our next step is to call the Alliance for Infants and Toddlers. It's an umbrella organization that provides services to children under 3, free, in your home. It doesn't go through insurance (PA pays for it). So they will come and do an evaluation and then can come for treatment (the PT today recommended once a week). But it will probably be 5-6 weeks until that is all set up and ready to go. That will be easier than finding babysitting for H and E once a week!
Next up is her hearing test on Friday. Tuesday is a Plastic Surgery evaluation. We'll let you know how it goes.
Sustained only by His Grace,
Theresa and Tom

Mark 10:46-52
They came to Jericho. As he and his disciples and a large crowd were leaving Jericho, Bartimaeus son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the roadside. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout out and say, 'Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!' Many sternly ordered him to be quiet, but he cried out even more loudly, 'Son of David, have mercy on me!' Jesus stood still and said, 'Call him here.' And they called the blind man, saying to him, 'Take heart; get up, he is calling you.' So throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus. Then Jesus said to him, 'What do you want me to do for you?' The blind man said to him, 'My teacher, let me see again.' Jesus said to him, 'Go; your faith has made you well.' Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
