Spiritual Disciplines, Celebrating & Living Out
Posted by tom | Jul 18, 2005Here's a piece I've worked on regarding Spiritual Disciplines and shared within the context of InterVarsity's Staff Team. It refers to material from Dallas Willard, some of which was touched on earlier earlier
Excerpt:
I do not remember exactly when spirituality became important to me. As a child I imagined all good things in the universe coming together and being expressed in the Force. But as I grew, this proved less and less true. Eventually Nietzsche shattered these expectations only to be confronted by a desperate desire to escape from the mental, emotional, and physical abyss I found myself in during college. Christian world-and- life view alongside hearty apologetics brought me out of the pit. Spirituality discussions seemed to miss the point, until I came face to face with suffering in my life, the loss of a child, the ravages of cancer and its continued aftershocks.

FYI, it looks like the link to the pdf is broken here. I'd like to read it if it's available, though!
