Mass Transit, the way

to connect w/people. Fellow Grove City College Alum Christina Garber recognized me while I was pouring over my email on AmTrak. She shared about the community of IVMF alum w/a vision for the renewal of Altoona. Looking forward to visiting later in the fall to learn more about this work and meet a Christian faculty on the PSU-Altoona campus with whom they are connected. Note: pictures from visits to Pittsburgh will be posted at 06 Ministry Tour(currently there are a few of the Horseshoe Curve along with one of Hyjunjin and Roger) . . .

While on the train, Roger gave me a call and we arranged to meet for breakfast. While on the bus, en route to breakfast, I came across Hyjunjin reading Who You Are When No One's Looking. I had the opportunity to meet w/Hyjunjin and learn of his departmental Bible study which emerged from conversation w/Muslims regarding the Bible. I encouraged him to regularly commit his academic and leadership gifts to the direction of the Lord (part of this will be participating in Urbana 06, part of this will be daily time in the Word/prayer, part of this will be a regular Sabbath, and part of this will be a review of the use of his time -- this is a re-affirmation of IVCF colleague Bob Trube's word to him several months ago at a conference for Korean scholars studying in the U.S.).

Afterward, I met w/Roger to discuss the the fall Bible which he'll be leading on Pitt campus and pray for future vocational direction (note: he'll also be participating in Urbana 06.

All of us were surprised by the hand of God which brought our tracks together. Looking forward to how God will continue to do more than I planned in future visits to 'da Burgh!
