At InterVarsity's Mid-Atlantic Regional Staff Conference (RSC), I had good conversations regarding faculty ministry with staff from Bloomsburg, Dickinson, Elizabethtown, F&M, Millersville, Penn, U. of Delaware, a number of campuses in the Reading area, and the incoming regional director (Praise God for his vision for the whole campus mission!).  I'm refining materials (i.e., pulling materials out from visits to Duquesne, Penn State Behrend, Washington & Jefferson) to consult and assist undergraduate field staff on these campuses to integrate faculty into our whole campus mission.  

Lord willing, I'll take an active, regular role at Elizabethtown, F&M, Penn State Harrisburg and to a lesser degree Dickinson and Millersville while still maintaining some connection with CMU, Duquesne, and Pitt via email and periodic visits (next visit in mid-September for various appointments, 'career day' large group, arts scholar visit, presentation on A,B,C’s of Small Groups” for college age to seniors at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, spiritual formation class with N. Graham Standish).  Pray for discernment in how much to give where/when to be a blessing in mission, neighborhood, local assembly, and home. 

Note:  I'm also looking forward to supporting the visit by Henry Fritz Schaefer III to Johns Hopkins over October 29-31 and a Veritas Forum at Penn over Nov 14-16.  Pray for preparations for these events and our graduate ministry's winter retreat in January 08.
