Sire's Whirlwind Campus Tour

Much good news to share regarding Jim Sire's Signals of Transcendence central PA tour.  May the saints rejoice in answered prayer and to God be all the glory!

After Saturday's Learning to Pray Through the Psalms Prayer Retreat (pic above and more here), I spent several hours sleeping . . . and I spent several more in bed on Sunday afternoon.  Today, I've been with the family as Ellen threw up last night and stayed home from school this morning, Eden had her left ear examined in follow-up to a recent infection (thankfully just a little wax and a little fluid were to be found), errands needed to be run (Blockbuster, CVS, Etown Library, Weis), and the house needed to be set in order (baby stuff out of the attic, other materials in the attic, laundry, cleaning).  All that to say, you'll have to wait to read more about Jim's visit, but I will tantalize you with one story . . .

a Chinese scholar whose Communist Party member father had became a follower of Christ while studying in the United States. The student came to one of Jim's presentations solely on the basis of the Signals of Transcendence poster and an interest in learning more. Jim passed along a free, signed copy of his Naming the Elephant: Worldview as a Concept, drawing attention to the section in which a Chinese convert shares her reasons for following Christ.  For the staff member, who set up a time for further conversation, this opportunity was worth the whole campus visit by Jim, but there was more on that campus and others in the area (look at him hanging with the students at Penn after his presentation to 80+)!
