Baby Name Guessing Game
Posted by tom | May 7, 2008Where did this idea come from?
A recent email conversation w/Mike, the coordinator of the Disciples Fellowship at Elizabethtown Brethren-in-Christ. He asked if I had
any names to share?
While typing the below response, the idea unfolded . . .
With regard to the baby's name, various covert operations have been afoot to uncover her name. But here-to-fore they've been unsuccessful. But just in case Theresa would be willing for the name to be released to "an inner circle" which doesn't even include family (and we'd have "to kill you if there was a security breach"), let me ask Theresa if she's up for taking the risk on this "special operation" . . .
"I have no names to share. That doesn't mean I don't have any names."
Well that's the whole story. No "inner circle" . . . no "security breach" at this time. "Full disclosure" will occur at the "time of delivery," but let the guessing game begin tonight [at our local congregations Wednesday dinner]. I think that we can spare an InterVarsity Press book to give as a prize to the winner which will be the first one to submit the correct first name to our groshlink post.
Let the games begin. Maybe we'll come up with a special prize for anyone who guesses the first and middle name, like babysitting at our home.
Maybe I should have asked Theresa about this idea before posting it, but she does want to see some of those extra, recently published IVP books which didn't sell the other month leave their basement home ;-)
