Mr. Mom, Reporting from the House
Posted by tom | Aug 10, 2009As some of you know through Facebook, word of mouth, etc, Theresa's at Rehoboth Beach, DE, w/some family friends. Pray for her to receive refreshment.
Yes, Mr. Mom has the 4 girls. At present we're doing fine
This morning I posted on Facebook:
too much going on to post last night as the power went out (I did have battery back-up for my computer system) and the younger ones wouldn't settle. Not much more time this morning as the two younger one have been up on/off for some time. Gotta run to respond to the cries for breakfast followed by the opening of the front door.
But the day improved with
1. Lily taking her usual morning and afternoon naps.
2. Eden falling asleep in front of a video after lunch and taking a 'good nap.' She hasn't taken a daytime nap for quite some time. So God answered a prayer (or 2).
3. Hayley feeling better as the day progressed. I have to check her temperature again, it was about 100 at lunch time.
4. Theresa's Mom watching Lily while the rest of us made an afternoon run to the library.
5. Brief patches of reading for the upcoming class and checking email.
Pray for
1. the girls to settle well tonight in order for me to have some opportunity to prep for my Wednesday/Thursday time at the Mid-Atlantic undergrad Regional Staff Conference and to read/write for my upcoming class on "Salvation" the last full week of August.
2. Ellen & Hayley to be well and able to visit w/their cousin tomorrow. Lord willing I'll occupy Lily and Eden with another library trip on Tuesday. If I have the opportunity to make arrangements, I'll drop by PSU-Hershey Medical Center for the Christian Medical Society's lunch outreach meeting.
3. Theresa to return well-rested and ready 'to go' on Tuesday afternoon/evening. Note: it's fine if she needs the night to rest before going full strength on Wednesday morning, when I head out to the Mid-Atlantic Undergrad Regional Staff Conference. W/regard to the conference, pray for concrete next steps in partnership between the undergraduate ministry, Faculty Ministry, and the Emerging Scholars Network.
