Come quickly, Jesus!

Even though Theresa and the twins are away ... Eden, Lily, and I wrapped up The Jesus Storybook Bible over dinner last night.  What an "end!"

John came to the end of his book [Revelation].  But he didn't write "The End."  Because, of course, that's how stories finish.  (And this one's not over yet.)

So instead, he wrote:  "Come quickly, Jesus!"

Which, perhaps, is really just another way of saying ...

To be continued...

Paraphrase of John 1:12-13
For anyone who says yes to Jesus
For anyone who believes what Jesus said
For anyone who will just reach out to take it
Then God will give them this wonderful gift:

To be born into
A whole new Life
To be who they really are
Who God always made them to be --
Their own true selves --
God's dear
Child.

Because, you see, the most wonderful thing about this Story is -- it's your story, too!

Amen!  Can't wait to share A dream of heaven:  John sees into the future, from Revelation 1, 5, 21, 22 with the rest of the family when they return from their travels to 'da Burgh.  What will we turn to next for dinner devotions?

I'll keep you posted.  As for last night, Eden asked for more from God and Me: 365 Daily Devotions (Penny Boshoff, Waynesboro, GA: Authentic Media, 2005).  In this devotional, October 15-16 addresses Feeling Angry and Forgiving based upon Matthew 5:39-42 and Colossians 3:13. Eden was drawn to the picture with the lesson immediately.  It depicts two boys in conflict over a toy vaccuum cleaner.  Our girls have one of those and the desire to play with it has caused a conflict or two through the years. We discussed sharing our toys.
