Glimpses of 2011 Mid-Atlantic Grad Student Winter Retreat (2/11-13)
Posted by tom | Feb 24, 2011Wow! The Word & Spirit of God truly spoke with power throughout InterVarsity's 2011 Mid-Atlantic Grad Student Winter Retreat. What a joy to serve the Father (as retreat director) at such a time/place. The Body of Christ was truly lifting us up in prayer. To God be the glory! For pictures visit here.
Below are three student responses to "Briefly share how the Father has spoken to you through His Word, His Spirit, & His people this weekend."
Eliminating all idols including school. Being a missionary in our families especially when members are not really saved. I am thankful for events like these.
Reaching out to non-Christian friends: how to approach conversations with them. Also, how I respond to the "Samaritans" I encounter.
God reminded me the need to humility. And also that I am part of a bigger group of grad students seeking to glorify him.
All 17 students who completed the feedback sheet responded that they would "again participate in a similar retreat."
