Why do you do what you do? - Medical Missionaries Part III
Posted by tom | Aug 7, 2011Shortly after posting on the Bridgemans in Honduras and the Nelsons in Kijabe, Kenya, I received word that Samaritan's Purse did a survey of all their Post Residency Mission Program trainees.
One of the questions was
"What was #1 thing that has motivated you to choose a career serving God in medical missions?"
What do you think the answer was?
100% reported their involvement in CMDA was the biggest, number one influencing factor! To God be the glory!
What a joy and the privilege to serve in partnership with CMDA at Penn State Hershey Christian Medical Society (CMS). Thank-you to all our family, friends, and sponors. You make this possible by walking alongside this work to which we've been called by God.
Your gifts and prayers are having great Kingdom impact. Keep praying for the new students (whose classes start tomorrow) and the returning students (note: some of our grad students will be teaching 1st years) as we seek to connect with them throughout the week, particularly at the
- Tuesday noon lunch
- Tuesday evening volleyball
- Friday campus social.
In addition, pray for the leadership team as we organize the first week. On Tuesday night we'll come together as a whole team the first time since summer break began. Pray for us to become "one" as we share our "life together" in Christ and embrace a shared vision for the new academic year.
